Who are we and what do we do?

The Junction Project is an accommodation-based drug and alcohol service funded through Bristol City Council's 'Supporting People' scheme. We provide housing combined with individual support to men and women whose lives have been directly affected by alcohol or substance misuse. Our philosophy here is of a person-centred, holistic approach.

Mission Statement

"Providing accommodation and support to those whose lives have been affected by addiction - facilitating the transition from dependence to independence."

Description of Services

Services-user involvement plays a significant part in both the philosophy and direction of our services; all support planning is devised in conjunction with service users. We provide a multi-agency approach in our support delivery, encouraging our clients to engage in the various day programs and relevant services available here in Bristol.

Since its inception in July 2004, The Junction Project has developed an enviable reputation, providing a high standard of support, accommodation and facilities which resulted in the Junction Project becoming the latest accredited and contracted support provider here in Bristol.

Types of Services

We provide accommodation and individually tailored support for those on substitute therapy, such as Methadone and Subutex. We also provide an assisted withdrawal plan. Because these spaces are already funded, this service is a lifeline for those unable to obtain funding for residential treatment or those seeking immediate intervention.
We provide accommodation for men and women, with lower support needs but who are committed to their recovery and wish to remain abstinent; each resident will have their own support worker. Again, the accommodation is of a high standard, well furnished, with Sky TV and Broadband Internet. Residents need to be at least 28 days clean to access this service.

We provide 'move-on' accommodation for residents that have successfully completed their support programme and are waiting to be re-housed through the local authority or who are seeking private accommodation.
